A finding chart for 1RXS J213344.1+510725

SkyView image of RX J213344.1+510725 (see important notes).

Position
  • Equatorial: 21h33m43.63s, +51d07m24.7s (Gaia)
  • Galactic: l=94.46, b=-0.48
Finding Chart:
Motch et al. 1998
Brigntness:
Optical: G=15.0 (Gaia); X-rays: 5.5x10-11 ergs cm-2s-1 (BAT 157m; 14-195 keV), 2.7x10-11 ergs cm-2s-1 (4XMM-DR11)
IP Credential:
***** (Ironclad) Both the orbital and spin periods of this IP has been established beyond doubt.
Periods:
  • Orbital: 0.297431 d = 7.13834 hr = 25698.0 s, from optical spectroscopy.
    T0 = HJD 2453074.033(3) + 0.297431(5)
    (Thorstensen et al. 2010)
  • Spin: 0.0066067 d = 9.51365 min = 570.8189 s, seen in optical and X-ray photometry.
    HJD = 2452876.94785(3) + 0.0066067(2)E
    for the optical maxima.
  • Others: 6.72 hr negative superhump period.
Inclination:
<45 deg
Distance:
1372 (1337-1411) pc (Gaia EDR3; parallax: 0.705+/-0.020 mas)
