14 IPs and candidates (V709 Cas, V2069 Cyg, NY Lup, V2400 Oph, V2487 Oph, GK Per, V1223 Sgr, V2731 Oph, V1062 Tau, IGR J15094-6649, IGR J16167-4957, IGR J16500-3307, and IGR J17195-4100, 1RXS J213344.1+510725,) as wel as V1432 Aql, IGR J14536-5522, and SS Cyg.
The authors start with the dubious assumption that the distances to 5 IPs and 1 polar in the sample are securely known (only one of the 6 is in fact secure) and purport to derive the spatial distribution and the X-ray luminosity function of hard X-ray emitting CVs.
