of V455 And (see important notes)
- Position
-
- Equatorial: 23h34m01.37s,
+39d21m38.6s (Gaia)
- Galactic: l=106.99, b=-21.10
- Finding Chart:
- Araujo-Betancor et al. (2005)
- Brigntness:
- Optical G=16.0 (Gaia); X-rays: 7.8x10-14 ergs cm-2s-1 (4XMM-DR11)
- IP Credential:
- **** (Confirmed LLIP): Although not all
the periods of this system are fully understood, the presence of the
coherent 67.6 s period, which must be the spin period, is beyond doubt.
- Periods:
-
- Orbital: 0.05630921 d = 1.351421 hr = 4865.116 s, from the shallow eclipses.
HJD = 2451812.67765(35) + 0.05630921(1)E
(Araujo-Betancor et al. 2005)
for the times of mid-eclipse.
- 0.0007826352 d = 1.126995 m = 67.619685 s, seen in optical photometry
and time resolved spectroscopy.
- Others: 83.38 min permanent superhump period; 80.376 negative superhump
period; ~3.5 hr spectroscopic period (not strictly coherent); 5-6 min
white dwarf pulsation periods; 67.28 s period seen in optical photometry,
which appears to be a beat period between the spin and the 3.5 hr period.
- Inclination:
- ?
- Distance:
- 75.6 (75.4-75.9) pc (Gaia EDR3; parallax: 13.189+/-0.043 mas)
