Aperiodic Variability of IPs
In my opinion, any interpretations of aperiodic variability is
model-dependent, and conclusions derived from the studies of aperiodic
variability are only as good as the assumptions made in the model.
Quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs), when present, are somewhat more
constraining than truly aperiodic variability. While QPOs are seen
in several polars, none has been seen in IPs as far as I'm aware.
