A Catalog of Clusters Observed with ASCA
Below is the table of sources in the ASCA catalog (corresponding to Table 2 in the paper). The sequence number links to information on the analysis of that observation, including images of the field and an image of the spectrum.
The columns in the table are:
- #: The cluster number in the list.
- Cluster Name: The assigned cluster name.
- Sequence: The ASCA sequence number of the observation. Combined means that the spectra from the previously listed sequences were summed for each instrument and then fit.
- RA: The right ascension (J2000) of the cluster GIS centroid, in degrees.
- DEC: The declination (J2000) of the cluster GIS centroid, in degrees.
- Rext: The extraction radius used for the spectrum file, in arc minutes.
- NH:The hydrogen column density from Dickey & Lockman (1990), in units of 1020 cm-2.
- Tx: The x-ray temperature with 90% confidence limits, in keV.
- Z: The metal abundance with 90% confidence limits with respect to solar abundances of Anders & Grevesse (1989).
- z: The cluster redshift.
- fx: The log of the unabsorbed flux within Rext in the 0.5-2.0 keV band, in units of ergs cm-2 s-1, from the fit to the GIS-2 spectrum.
- Lbol: The log of the bolometric x-ray luminosity within Rext for H0 = 50 km s-1 Mpc-1 and q0 = 0.5 in units of ergs s-1 from the fit to the GIS-2 spectrum.
- lvir: Correction factor to apply to bolometric luminosity to obtain the luminosity within the virial radius.
- chisq: The reduced chi squared value which gives a measure of the quality of the fit.
- dof: The number of degrees of freedom in the fit.
- External Links: Links an object search for the source in NED or ADS. W3B links to the ASCA public archives via W3Browse.
Blank columns for temperature, abundance, etc. mean that the fit failed. If marked in yellow, there were too few counts in the spectrum.
