Robert Lockwood is the Spacecraft Program Manager for the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) mission. Over the past 30 years, Robert has held a variety of positions in the aerospace, space research, defense and information technology industries. His background includes developments in commercial and civil spacecraft, ground operations centers, electronic warfare and secure networked systems. During his 12 year career at Orbital, he has led the development and operations of space-based systems as both a program director and systems engineer for multiple NASA science missions, including the IBEX heliophysics mission.
Robert holds a Bachelors degree in Physics from Louisiana State University and completed the course work and examination towards a PhD in Physics at the University of Texas.
