Link below shows 4 billion miles (from earth)-- 'Portrait of the Solar System'. Great find. Brings it all closer to 'home'. Time permitting, I shall see what there is. Thank you for your postings on distances, and your ideas and suggestions.

Thank you for pointing out the Orbits of Uranus and Neptune being 2 billion miles. From the Sun, or from the earth is it Dave? Please don't respond to that question Dave, I really do not wish to take up your valuable time, unless you want to of course. It is all so technical, but remains fascinating I think.

Fascinating is a hardly a word to describe our new millennium's continued desire to 'reach for the sky' - or 'reach towards the heavens.'

Have a great day. Peace and joy to you too JR.

Gooood Luck to Hubble and all involved. :)

Betty, the earth is 93,000,000 miles from the sun (very close) so it doesn't really matter. 2 Billion from here and 2 Billion from the sun is still in the same area.

We are happy to respond to any questions, one of NASA's goals is education.

I'm sure it is great fun, although it may be scary at times.
