||||| Tuesday, March 05, 2002 - 05:45 pm I observed the shuttle and ISS pass in the southern sky at about 6 a.m. Monday, March 4. From my vantage point in Colorado, it appeared as though they were not all that far apart. Can you give me some idea of how close their orbits came? | |
||||| Tuesday, March 05, 2002 - 05:59 pm Go to: http://sm3b.gsfc.nasa.gov/mission-updates/where-is-hubble.html Click on 'config', and add STATION, click FINISHED. Now CTRL-Click on the station icon to see both tracks. As you can see, their altitudes are quite different (380km vs. 560), and the inclination is also very different. http://www.edcheung.com/job/sm3b/sm3b.htm | |
