I would think you could acquire more and better information with the closer views. The pictures you have obtained already are fantastic, and I would believe in deeper space they would be more informative. Thanks you!!! | |

| ||||| Sunday, March 03, 2002 - 12:54 pm Suppose you were looking at something 10,000 light years away -- which, in the range of things HST looks at is at the nearby end of things. Then to get the HST there would take, at the speed of light, 10,000 years. It would take an additional 10,000 years to get the answer back. Also, we don't know how to move things around at the speed of light, so this is an optimistic estimate. We're just not that patient. | |
