Cycle 6 Information

GALEX Project at Caltech

Q: Where's my money? I am / my postdoc is / my students are in
desparate need of funding!

02 April 2007:

A: Cycle 1, Cycle 2, or Cycle 3 archival proposal grants have all been started and/or completed.

We (galexhelp) send you an email when we start your grant, which will generally be the day after we know about your successful observations. Transferring grants from one institution to another takes a lot longer - we
haven't found out how long yet . . .

Any grants started after 1 May 2006, will be issued through NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. The procurement request (PR) will continue to be initiated through the system at
Goddard Space Flight Center, but the Grant (money) will actually be issued from NSSC. When processing begins, you will receive an email from NSSC, at which point you can track your grant HERE. The goal is a 30 (calendar) day turnaround.

You can check on the status of your observations HERE.
