Cycle 6 Information

GALEX Project at Caltech

Users meeting scheduled for 6-7 p.m. Monday, January 9
at the Park Tower Suites, 8226

Letter to GALEX users:

We would like to call your attention to a GALEX users information
session, to be held at the AAS on Monday evening, from 6-7pm
(we apologize for the time - we were not allowed to be a
"town meeting" with a midday meeting time). Project and helpdesk
personnel will be available.

We will have a short presentation on the current status of the
health of the spacecraft and instrument, new and improved calibration,
relaxed brightness limits, plans for streamlining the Cycle 3 proposal
process, planned schedule for Cycle 3, data releases, long-term plans
for the mission, and (hopefully) the budget. However, most of the time
will be available for your questions, comments and/or requests. If
there are topics you would like addressed that aren't mentioned above,
please send us email and we'll try to include them.

Please also feel free to stop by the GALEX booth during the meeting and
give us feedback on the new proposal preparation tools we are developing
or anything else that concerns you.

Best regards,
the GALEX GI helpdesk and GALEX project.
