Spectra of the Cosmic X-ray background are available, and are intended to
provide an average high latitude (
) estimate. The currently
available spectra are produced from a fraction of the IOC data where the
particle model alone was estimated to "work well" (as judged from behaviour during
the interspersed occults). More data will be included in this model both from
IOC data and from a recently started calibration program where day long
observations of blank sky are undertaken about once per month. The first such day
was on days 306-307 of 1996; the second has been scheduled for day 336-337 of 1996.
These data will be made publicly available in the archive as soon as they are processed.
