Craig Markwardt writes:
Here is a summary of the galactic bulge observation for 19 May (day
2330).  This is the first observation with PCU 1 turned back on.  I
tried fitting the light curves both with and without PCU 1, and did
find a difference.  Of course, the benefit of using all 3 PCUs is the
smaller error bars, but there are other questions that must be
considered.

First, the background is of course higher.  This I account for by
always fitting a DC constant to the overall lightcurve, so it's not
that big of a deal.  The background will also be more variable,
something I can't see directly, but clearly some of the source
intensities are different on a few % basis.  The energy response will
also have changed, due both to the gain shift and the loss of the
propane layer.  These are all factors that will need to be worked out
in the future.  Until then, I am satisfied that the "monitoring"
should be done by excluding PCU1.

* GRS 1758-258 seems to have suddenly dimmed to about 50% of its
  previous value, to 15 mCrab.

* KS 1731-260 has declined precipitously to 38 mCrab, compared to 100
  mCrab last week.

* SAX J1747 has gone back up this time, to 60 mCrab.  This sucker has
  a rather irregular decline.

* SAX J1808 is gone this time, back to the baseline level.
