Finding the UV-Visible Path Forward: A Community Workshop to Plan the Future of UV/Visible Space Astrophysics
For more information, contact: paul.scowen@asu.edu or susan.g.neff@nasa.gov
Purpose
The intent of this open workshop is to bring the UV/Visible Space Astrophysics community together, to provide input to NASA on the question of flagship missions that NASA should consider for the 2020 Decadal Survey of Astronomy and Astrophysics. It is sponsored by the Science Interest Group (SIG#2) for UV/Visible Science and Technology, part of the Cosmic Origins Program Analysis Group (COPAG)
However, that is NOT the only purpose. The workshop is also intended to enable the various SIG2 subcommittees to work together towards their respective goals. While the meeting is intended to be face- to-face, call-in facilities will be made available and collaborative tools such as Webex and others will be used to provide as creative and productive an environment as possible.
