Commentary

Craig Markwardt writes:
This is a report of the galactic bulge scans for Sep 27 and Oct 1.

* We tracked the continuing evolution of the GRS 1747-312 outburst.
  We obtained the peak flux of 373 ct/s on MJD 51448.35, and it has
  since declined to 292 ct/s.

* The Rapid Burster has definitely gone into outburst.  On 51448.34 we
  measured a modest source above the background level, 33 +/- 8 ct/s.
  Today's observation (51452.73) is 2940 ct/s, almost exactl the same
  as the previous outburst peak flux measurement.

* 4U 1820-30 is near its lowest level in the past seven monts, around
  900 ct/s/5PCU (2-13 keV).

* XTE J1819-254 ( = SAX J1819...) shows signs of recovering, after
  nearly disappearing.  The most recent flux measurement is about 11
  +/- 3 ct/s.
